What did we learn on today's programme?
  • I finally figured out who Lady Gaga is: Lady Gaga is somebody who doesn't know who Madonna is.
  • You don't want to be anywhere near the Oakland police when there is only one donut left.
  • Firefox seems to think that the singular of "donuts" is a spelling mistake. Now needs even more cuddles.
  • Attempting to broadcast a Catholic mass in a large gymnasium, with quiet speakers and a very loud choir, using only one microphone connected directly to the radio station broadcast booth with a very, very long cable? NOT A GOOD IDEA.
  • NO, SERIOUSLY. DON'T EVER DO THAT.
  • Following the Baccalaureate Mass with "The Song that Goes Like This" never gets old.

  • ... and neither does anybody else, for that matter.

What did we learn on today's programme?
  • Never order from Quizno's when there are students working the counter. Unless, perhaps, you're a perv.
  • You can apparently make a parfait using only pudding now.
  • Anything sounds better when pitched in an Art Fern voice.

#404: Programme not found (w/ guest host Kevin Butler, VP of Awkward College Radio Programming)

In which station management screws around with the audio setup in the booth, requiring me to waste a full half-hour getting my show set up. Yay for people who have no idea what they're doing being put in charge!

What did we learn on today's programme?
  • If you do a call-in segment with somebody who is listening to the show on the radio, while the seven-second delay is turned on, you can divide by zero and/or see the face of God.
  • "Across the street from where somebody left a sofa out on the curb" is a legitimate address.

You're callin' that awesome?

Quick update: Brian Carpenter's choice in the Kentucky Derby, Awesome Act, finished 19th.

Out of a field of 20.

All of the horseshoes in the world couldn't help this man.

#403: On-air wagering! (w/ guest host Kobato Hanato)

In which your host bets a whopping $0 (this is college radio, after all) that his choice of Super Saver will best Brian Carpenter's pick, Awesome Act, in the Kentucky Derby.

Who comes up with the names of these horses, anyway?

What did we learn on today's programme?
